Son of a Polish King, combining prayer with mortification and drawing inspiration from Christ's Passion, you remained faithful to a vow of celibacy. You labored to make Ruthenians faithful followers of Christ. Most charitable toward the poor, you became another Francis of Assisi. Continue to inspire Poland in its fidelity to Christ the King. Amen.
