Prayers of a Grateful Heart
Prayers of Gratitude

to Songs of Thankfulness and Praise

Almighty and provident Father, I thank You from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful thing that has happened to me. It know it is the result of your goodness toward me, and I pray that I may accept it as I should. In a world filled with many sufferings and sad occasions I am fortunate to be blessed in this way. I offer You my sincere gratitude and promise to remain united with You in good times and in bad. Amen.

Jesus Christ, my God, I adore You and thank You for all the graces You have given me this day. I offer You my sleep and all the moments of this night, and I ask You to keep me without sin. I therefore place myself in Your sacred side and under the mantle of Our Lady, my mother. Let Your holy angels stand about me and keep me in peace and let Your blessings be upon me. Amen.

Thank you, O God, for hearing my prayer and granting my request. Thank You for all the kindness You have shown me. Thank You, Father, for Your great love in giving me my life, for Your great patience in preserving me despite my sinfulness, for Your protection in the past and for the opportunity to serve and honor You in the future. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for keeping me numberless times from sin and death by the toils of Your life, the sufferings of Your Passion, and by Your victorious resurrection. Thank You, Holy Spirit of God, for bestowing so many graces upon my soul and for having so frequently renewed Your life within me. May my life, from now on, be a sign of my gratefulness. Amen.

Dear Jesus, there are many in this world who have never had, or have lost a physical or mental gift that I so easily take for granted. The blind, the deaf, the mute, the lame and the mentally ill are with us. Grant that I may always know that I must give of myself to ease their trials and burdens. May I always remember their needs and be just and generous to them. I thank You always for the gifts I have received and ask a special blessing on all those who are handicapped. Amen.

In Gratitude for Family and Friends

Blessed are You, loving Father, for all Your gifts to us. Blessed are You for giving us family and friends to be with us in times of joy and sorrow, to help us in days of need, and to rejoice with us in moments of celebration... Father, we praise You for Your Son Jesus, Who knew the happiness of family and friends, and in the love of Your Holy Spirit. Blessed are You for ever and ever. Amen.

THANK YOU LORD

For all that You gave me in the past years. Thank You for the sunshiny days and for the sad and cloudy ones; for the calm afternoons and the dark nights; for the love and for all beautiful and sweet things; for the flowers and the stars. Thank You for health and sickness, for sorrows and joys. Thank You for all You that gave me and all that You asked of me. Thank You Lord, for Your smiling face and friendly hand that kept me strong. Thank You for the loneliness, for the work, for the worries, for the fears, for the difficulties and the tears; and for everything that brought me closer to You. I saw Your loving hands and providence even in the negatives! Thank You, Lord.

Thank You for having kept me alive, for having given me shelter, warmth and nourishment. Thank you, Lord, for having given me friends and dear ones. Thank you for all that You created especially man and woman, whom You created in Your own image and likeness. Thank you for the innocent little children in the families and for good souls, who live according to Your will. Thank You Lord.

Thank You Lord for this year and all the 366 days of this year; I am ready to do whatever You wish, Lord, I am ready to follow You always in all circumstances, but I ask You for faith to see You in everything and everybody; hope, that I may not dismay; and charity to love You and others more each day; and to let You be loved among those around me. Give me patience and humility, detachment and generosity; give me Lord what is good for me which You alone know, for I do not know what is good for me I do not dare to ask. That my heart may be alert, my ears be attentive, my hands and mind active, and that I always may be ready to do Your Holy Will with Your grace.

Lord! Pour out Your grace and blessings upon all my beloved ones and grant the entire world Your peace.
Thank You, Lord. Amen.

The Crown of Twelve Stars

St. John, the beloved disciple of Jesus and Mary, was privileged to behold a wonderful sign in Heaven: "A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. [Apoc. 12] This gave rise to the triple Crown of Twelve Stars devotion which Heaven has blessed with countless favors. St. John Berchmans made it his daily favorite:

Let us offer praise and thanksgiving to the Most Holy Trinity, Who hath shown us the Virgin Mary, clothed with the sun, the moon  between her feet, and on her head a mystic crown of twelve stars.
R. For ever and ever. Amen.

Let us praise and thank the Divine Father, Who elected her for His daughter.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Our Father.

Praised be the Divine Father, Who predestined her to be the Mother of His Divine Son.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary.

Praised be the Divine Father, Who preserved her from all stain in her conception.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary.

Praised be the Divine Father, Who adorned her at birth with His most excellent gifts.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary.

Praised be the Divine Father, Who gave her Saint Joseph to be her companion and most pure spouse.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary and 1 Glory Be.

Let us praise and thank the Divine Son, Who chose her for His mother.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Our Father.

Praised be the Divine Son, Who became incarnate in her bosom and there abode for nine months.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary.

Praised be the Divine Son, Who was born of her and was nourished at her breast.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary.

Praised be the Divine Son, Who in His childhood willed to be taught by her.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary.

Praised be the Divine Son, Who revealed to her the mystery of the Redemption of the world.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary and 1 Glory Be.

Let us praise and thank the Holy Spirit, Who took her for His spouse.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Our Father.

Praised be the Holy Spirit, Who, revealed first to her His Name of Holy Spirit.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary.

Praised be the Holy Spirit, by Whose operation she was at once Virgin and Mother.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary.

Praised be the Holy Spirit, by Whose power she was the living-temple of the ever-blessed Trinity.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary.

Praised be the Holy Spirit, by Whom she was exalted in Heaven above every living creature.
R. Amen. Pray 1 Hail Mary and 1 Glory Be.
