A Prayer When Homesick
to You Are Near
Lord Jesus Christ, I am far from home and family today and afflicted with a bad case of homesickness. Even though it is important and right for me to be away, I miss my loved ones and my familiar surroundings. Help me to realize that true Christians are never alone---their spiritual family is ever with them:
You, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. Let me dedicate myself anew to You today, thus overcoming this very human feelings within me. Then help me to return home with greater appreciation for my family and for the things that I have from You. Amen.
