Morning Has Broken

The
Daily Morning Offering
O Jesus, through
the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers, works,
joys, and sufferings of this day,
for all the intentions of Your
Sacred Heart, in union with the
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
throughout the world, in
reparation
for sin, for the intentions of
all my friends and associates,
and in particular for the
intentions of the Holy Father.
Amen

Act of
Faith
My God, I believe
in You and all that You have
taught,
because You have said it, and
Your Word is true.

Act of
Hope
I hope in Your
promise of eternal life,
and I ask for Your mercy and
strength this day.

Act of
Charity
O my God, I love
You with my whole heart and above
all things,
because You are infinitely good
and perfect;
and, I love my neighbor as myself
for love of You.
Grant that I may love You more
and more in this life,
and in the next eternity.

Lord, God
Almighty, You have brought us
safely
to the beginning of this day.
Defend us today
by Your mighty power, that we may
not fall into any sin,
but that all our words may so
proceed and all our thoughts
and actions be so directed, as to
be always just in Your sight.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

O
Lord, into Your hands, and
into the hands of Your holy
angels,
I commit and entrust this
day, myself, my relatives, my
benefactors, my friends and
enemies, and all Your
Christian people.
By the intercession of the
Blessed Virgin Mary,
and all Your saints, keep us
this day from all evil and
unruly desires,
from all sins and temptations
of the devil, from sudden and
unprovided death, and from
the pains of hell. Enlighten
my heart with the grace
of Your Holy Spirit. Grant
that I may ever be obedient
to Your commandments and
never let me be separated
from You. Amen.

Eternal
Father, I offer You
everything I do this day: my
work,
my prayers, my apostolic
efforts; my time with family
and friends;
my hours of relaxation; my
difficulties, problems,
distress which I shall try to
bear with patience. Join
these my gifts to the unique
offering which Jesus Christ,
Your Son, renews today in the
Eucharist. Grant, I pray,
that, vivified by the Holy
Spirit and united to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus, my
life this day may be of
service to you and to your
children and help consecrate
the world to You. Amen.

Dear Lord, I thank
You for this day.
I thank You for my being able to
see and to hear this
morning.
I'm blessed because You are a
forgiving and understanding
God.
You have done so much for me and
You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for I have
sinned.
I ask now for Your
forgiveness.
Keep me safe from all danger and
harm.
Let me start this day with a new
attitude and plenty of
gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and
every day
and give my best in all that is
put before me.
Clear my mind that I can hear
from You.
Broaden my mind that I can accept
all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over
things I have no control
over.
Let me continue to see sin
through God's eyes
and acknowledge it as evil.
And when I sin, let me repent,
and confess my wrong doing,
and receive the forgiveness of
God.
And when this world closes in on
me,
let me remember Jesus' example
---
to slip away and find a quiet
place to pray.
It's the best response when I'm
pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can't pray,
You listen to my heart.
Continue to use me to do your
Will.
Continue to bless me that I may
be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help
the weak.
Keep me uplifted that I may have
words of encouragement for
others.
I pray for those that are lost
and can't find their way.
I pray for those that are
misjudged and misunderstood.
I pray for those who refuse to
share a word from You.
I pray for those that will read
this and not use this in their
lives.
I pray for those that will delete
this without sharing it with
others.
I pray for those that don't
believe. But I believe.
I believe that God changes people
and God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and
brothers.
This is my prayer; I pray in
Jesus' name.
Amen.

A
Blessing Prayer
This
day is full of beauty and
adventure, help me Lord to be
fully alive to it all. During
this day, may I become a more
thoughtful person, a more
prayerful person, a more
generous and kindly person.
Help me not to be turned in
on myself but to be sensitive
and helpful to others. Let me
do nothing today that will
hurt anyone, but let me help
at least a little, to make
life more pleasant for those
I meet. When night comes, may
I look back on this day
without regrets; and may
nobody be unhappy because of
anything I have said or done
or failed to do. Lord God,
bless this day for me and all
of us. Make it a day in which
we grow a little more like
your Son, and gentle as Mary
His Mother. Amen

As I lift
my heart this week in prayer, May
God make me much more aware,
Of all the blessings He bestows,
Of every living thing that grows,
Of air, and water, sky, and
sea... And all the gifts He gives
to me,
And as I lift my heart each day,
May Jesus hear me as I pray.
God, let
me spread a little cheer, Erase a
doubt, cast out a fear,
Lend a prompt and willing hand,
Be there to listen and
understand.
Let me be filled with
thoughtfulness, Love others more,
My own self less,
And lighten hearts with a smile
or a word... Too seldom given,
too seldom heard. Amen.

Prayer
for All Things Necessary to
Salvation
I believe, Lord,
but may I believe more firmly.
I hope, but may I hope more
securely.
I love, but may I love more
ardently.
I grieve, but may I grieve more
deeply.
I adore you as my
first beginning. I aspire after
you as my last end.
I praise you as my perpetual
benefactor. I invoke you as my
merciful protector.
Direct me by your
wisdom. Keep me in your grace.
Console me with your mercy.
Protect me with your power.
I offer you, O
Lord, my thoughts, that they may
be about you;
my works, that they may be spoken
for your glory;
my actions, that they may accord
with your will;
my sufferings, that they may be
accepted for your sake.
I desire whatever
you desire. I desire it because
you desire it.
I desire it insofar as you desire
it. I desire it for as long as
you desire it.
I pray, O Lord,
that you will enlighten my mind,
inflame my will, cleanse my
heart, and sanctify my soul.
May I repent of
past sins, repel future
temptations,
correct wicked tendencies, and
cultivate virtuous ideals.
Good Lord, grant
that I may love you, renounce
myself,
do good to my neighbor, and be
detached toward the world.
May I strive to
obey my superiors, support my
inferiors,
aid my friends, and spare my
enemies.
Help me to
overcome sensuality by
self-denial, avarice by
liberality,
anger by meekness, and tepidity
by devotion.
Make me prudent in
counsel, steadfast in danger,
patient in adversity, and humble
in prosperity.
Grant, Lord, that
I may be attentive at prayer,
temperate at meals,
diligent at work, and constant in
resolutions.
Let my conscience
be upright, my outward appearance
be modest,
my conversation be edifying, and
my whole life be ordered.
Help me to labor
to overcome nature, to cooperate
with your grace,
to keep your commandments, and to
further my salvation.
Teach me the
futility of earthly things, the
greatness of divine things,
the shortness of temporal things,
and the length of eternal things.
Grant that I may
be prepared for death, fear
judgment,
avoid hell, and obtain paradise
-- through Christ our Lord.

XI (1649-1721), Pope and
Scholar

and loving Mother Mary, keep
me in your holy protection.
Guard my mind, my heart, and
my senses, that I may not be
stained with sin. Sanctify my
thoughts, affections, words

Morning
Offering to Our Lady
O
Mary, Mother of the Word
Incarnate, and our own
dearest Mother, we are here
at your feet at the break of
a new day--another great gift
of the Lord. We put into your
hands and into your heart our
entire being. We are yours in
will, in thought, in heart,
in body. Dear Mary, with
motherly kindness, form in us
a new life this day, the life
of your Jesus.
Accompany
by your motherly inspiration,
O Queen of Heaven, even our
smallest actions, that all
may be found pure and
acceptable. in His sight.
Make us holy, O good mother,
holy as Jesus has commanded
us to be, holy as your own
heart asks and ardently
desires us to be. Amen.
