A Prayer for Abortion Victims

Holy Mother of God and of the Church, our Lady of Guadalupe, you were chosen by the Father for the Son through the Holy Spirit. You are the Woman clothed with the sun who labors to give birth to Christ while Satan, the Red Dragon, waits to voraciously devour your child.

So too did Herod seek to destroy your Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and massacred many innocent children in the process. So today does abortion killing many innocent unborn children and exploiting many mothers in its attack upon human life and upon the Church, the Body of Christ.

Mother of the Innocents, we praise God in you for His gifts to you of your Immaculate Conception, your freedom from actual sin; your fullness of grace, your Motherhood of God and the Church, your Perpetual Virginity and your Assumption in body and soul into heaven.

O Help of Christians, we beg you to protect all mothers of the unborn and the children within their wombs. We plead with you for your help to end the holocaust of abortion. Melt hearts so that life may be revered!

Holy Mother, we pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all mothers and all unborn children that they may have life here on earth and by the most Precious Blood shed by your Son that they may have eternal life with Him in heaven. We also pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all abortionists and all abortion supporters that they may be converted and accept your Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. Defend all of your children in the battle against Satan and all of the evil spirits in this present darkness.

We desire that the innocent unborn children who die without Baptism should be baptized and saved. We ask that you obtain this grace for them and repentance, reconciliation and pardon from God for their parents and their killers.

Let there be revealed, once more, in the history of the world the infinite power of merciful love. May it put an end to evil. May it transform consciences. May your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of hope. May Christ the King reign over us, our families, cities, states, nations and the whole of humanity.

O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, hear our pleas and accept this cry from our hearts!
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Protectress of the Unborn, Pray for us!

Our Lady of Guadalupe, we turn to you who are the protectress of unborn children and ask that you intercede for us, so that we may more firmly resolve to join you in protecting all human life. Let our prayers be united to your perpetual motherly intercession on behalf of those whose lives are threatened, be they in the womb of their mother, on the bed of infirmity, or in the latter years of their life. May our prayers also be coupled with peaceful action, which witnesses to the goodness and dignity of all human life, so that our firmness of purpose may give courage to those who are fearful and bring light to those who are blinded by sin. Encourage those who will be involved in the March for Life; help them to walk closely with God and to give voice to the cry of the oppressed, in order to remind our nation of its commitment to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all people. O Virgin Mother of God, present our petitions to your Son and ask Him to bless us with abundant life. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, in You we adore the eternal origin of all life.  Born of God the Father before all time, You were born of the Virgin Mary in time.  In Your humanity and Person You sanctified motherhood from the first instant of conception through all stages, for our salvation.  Recall all people to these divine blessings to appreciate the unborn as person and to enlighten every human being coming into this world.  In Your mercy avert Your just anger from the enemies of life, to allow God's infants to give Him glory and to be crowned with the heavenly life of grace.  From the cross You called, "Behold your Mother."  Amen

Loving God, I thank you for the gift of life you gave and continue to give to me and to all of us. Merciful God, I ask your pardon and forgiveness for my own failure and the failure of all people to respect and foster all forms of life in our universe. Gracious God, I pray that with your grace, I and all people will reverence, protect, and promote all life and that we will be especially sensitive to the life of the unborn, the abused, neglected, disabled, and the elderly.  I pray, too, that all who make decisions about life in any form will do so with wisdom, love, and courage.
Living God, I praise and glorify you as Father, Source of all life, as Son, Savior of our lives, and as Spirit, Sanctifier of our lives. Amen

Prayer for the Helpless Unborn

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil, those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life. Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood.
Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image - as well as theirs  - made for eternnal life. Dispel their fear and selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother alone can give.
We ask this through Jesus  Christ, Your  Son, Our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy  Spirit, one God, forever and ever,  Amen.

For the Right to Life

O heavenly Father, strengthen us against the mounting forces of anti-life; enlighten those who walk in this deadly way that they may see the enormity of their sin and return to the generous observance of the divine law. We pray, too, for mothers, that they may prize the great privilege of motherhood; and that they may bring up their children in the holy love and fear of God, thus saving their own immortal souls and furthering the honor and glory of their Maker. 3 Hail Mary's (purple: represents the Lord's Passion and Death)

Pray: Lord, I offer these 3 Hail Mary's for an increase in Faith, Hope, and Love in all people so that all people will always choose life, and I also offer them in reparation for the suffering You endure each time an unborn babe is killed, each time someone is euthanized, each time death overcomes life in this world. Amen.

First Decade (Aqua-Blue and Clear or White beads)
State the Mystery of the day
Pray: Dear Lord, Dear Mother Mary, every aqua bead in this decade is special, for on it I pray that 'Hail Mary' for the intentions of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and on every clear or white bead, I say that 'Hail Mary' for Peace in our world.  Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have Mercy on us!

Second Decade (Red and clear or white beads)
State the Mystery of the day
Pray: Jesus, Source of Mercy; Mary Bearer of Mercy, on every "red" 'Hail Mary', I pray in reparation for the blood spilled from every baby wrenched from its mother's womb through abortion.  I know that even as you hold and comfort each of these precious little ones, the horror of their slaughter screams for justice to be meted out upon our world.  May these "red" 'Hail Mary's' be a source of reparation for our sin.  I also offer each "white/clear" 'Hail Mary' for the mothers and fathers of these aborted little ones, that they may receive the grace to repent of this sin, turn to Jesus, and receive the gift of salvation with open hearts.  Heal them of the emotional and psychological wounds that this sin has caused as you pour out the graces of conversion upon them.  Let them now witness for life! State the Mystery of the day
Pray:  Lord Jesus; Mother Mary, in this decade I offer reparation for all the sins of the medical personnel that act in the interest of death in our society and in our world.  I plead also for their conversion to your truth.  Let them see the truth of what they are doing, see the horror of it, rend their hearts in repentance, then work for Life and for You, Jesus, all the rest of their days. Amen.

Fifth Decade (Green and clear or white beads: Green is symbolic of hope.  Our Hope is Jesus Christ and the Life in the Holy Spirit He offers to us if we but receive it.  Because of our hope in Jesus we have faith that one day our hope for mercy justice, truth, peace, and life will be fully realized.)

State the Mystery of the day
Pray: Lord Jesus, I thank You for your incarnation in our human flesh.  You were formed in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Your humanity at the moment of your conception gives us, each and every one, humanity at the moment of your conception.  Had Satan had His way, You too would have been torn from your mother's womb, never to be born, and never to fulfill your destiny in the particular manner in which You did fulfill it.  On every "green" 'Hail Mary' I thank You for those who in any way work for life.  Give them continued courage, strength, peace of heart, and love.  Protect them from all evil and increase their witness in this nation and in this world.  Strengthen their families to understand the importance of their work and to support them in their stand for life.

Mother Mary, our mother, under the titles of Our Lady of Guadelupe, Mother of Perpetual Help, Queen of Peace, join us in our intercession for the end of all pro-death, pro-choice activities,  Crush the dead of evil in our nation, our world, and in our personal lives.  Roll back the crimson holocaust.  With every "cleary/white" 'Hail Mary' of this decade advance the cause of your Divine Son, Jesus, the Incarnate Word!  Stay the hand of Chastisement, and if it must fall - Protect your children. Amen.

Prayer for the Dignity of Human Life

Lord and giver of all life, help u s to value each person, created in love by You. In Your mercy, guide and assist our efforts to promote dignity and value of all human life, born and unborn. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Prayer to Abolish the Death Penalty

God of compassion, You let Your rain fall on the just and the unjust. Expand and deepen our hearts so that we may love as You love, even those among us who have cuased the greatest pain by taking life. For there is in our land a great cry for vengeance as we fill up death rows and kill the killers in the name of justice, in the name of peace. Jesus, our Brother, You suffered execution at the hands of the state, but You did not let hatred overcome You.

Help us to reach out to victims of violence, so that our enduring love may help them heal. You strengthen us in the struggle for justice. Help us to work tirelessly for the abolition of state-sanctioned death and to renew our society in its very heart so that violence will be no more. Amen.

Prayer to End Abortion

Lord God, I thank You today for the gift of my life and for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, yet I rejoice that You have conquered death by the resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, and never to stop defending life until all my brothers and sisters are protected, and our nation once again becomes a nation with liberty and justice not just for some, but for all, through Christ our Lord. Prayer for Aborted Babies

Heavenly Father, Thou hast given us the gift of freedom to love and to follow in Thy ways and commands. Some parents choose to abuse this freedom by destroying the gift of life which Thou hast given to their offspring. Please forgive those who destroy human life by aborting their unborn babies. Give these unborn children the opportunity to enjoy Thee for all eternity, if it according to Thy ordinance. Assist me in being one in solidarity with Thy little ones by taking to heart the words of Thy Son, "whatever you did for one of these least brothers of Mine, you did for Me." (Mt. 25:40) Therefore, allow me today, Father, to adopt spiritually an unborn child and to offer my prayers, works, joys and sufferings for that little one, so that child will be able to be born and live for Thy greater honor and glory. We pray this in Jesus' name, in union with the Holy Spirit one God forever and ever. Amen.
