A Prayer for Shut-ins
to
You Are Near
Dear
Lord, because of my difficulty in getting around
I am no longer able to go wherever I please and am at the mercy
of others to be taken out of this house.
Let me not withdraw from the outside world,
but continue to be interested in it.
For You are there as well as here with me; You are everywhere
in this magnificent world You made.
Enable me to realize that all the different stages of life are a
gift from You;
and each age has its own rewards as well as its problems.
Let me thank You for each new day's life and use that day to grow
in grace
and in the knowledge and love of You.
Help me when I am tired, and grant me the strength to go on.
And at the end of my journey through life,
let me see your glory in heaven. Amen.
